Segmented ball

R-Series Segment V-Port Rotary
A trunnion mounted segment rotary control valve with spring-loaded metal seats, the R-Series has a one-piece body that eliminates the effects of piping forces and the risk of joint leakage. The segment itself is contoured to give optimum flow characteristics along with high rangeability and very high flow capacity.



R-Series segmented ball with Q-Trim
Q-Trim valves optimize noise attenuation, pass impurities, provide very high rangeability and keep the valve dimensions, weight and cost reasonable. Q-Trim valves generally attenuate noise by up to 20 dBA, compared to standard trim valves, and vibration levels by more than 90%.



Basis weight
The unit consists of a reliable segment ball valve, complete with a high-resolution step-motor-driven rotary actuator, limit switches, and potentiometer. This combination makes it possible to attain up to 28200 discrete repeatable positions through a 90 degree operation range to compensate for fluctuations in stock flow.


Metal or Ceramic Seated Ball

MBV & M2
Metso offers a heavy-duty rotary control valve with single-piece Stemball® construction for difficult high pressure and applications with noise and cavitation problems. Available in full- or reduced-bore construction, this valve offers wide rangeability and stability and is particularly well suited for handling crude oil, LPG, and hydrocarbon gases from natural gas to petrochemical vapors. IEC/ISA face-to-face dimensions allow direct interchangeability with conventional globe type valves.



Top-entry rotary
The Top 5 is a heavy-duty rotary control valve with single-piece Stemball® construction for especially difficult applications that might present high-pressure levels and differentials, or noise and cavitation problems.



D Series Trunnion-mounted
The D Series flanged, full-bore ball valve has a symmetrically split body construction and a strong stem that is integrally cast with the ball, providing a high integrity, backlash free drive.



Q-Ball Metal Seated
The Q-Ball has been developed from the famous high performance Metso Automation StemBall® control valve and provides a noise reduction of up to 20 dB (A) when compared to normal valves.



Ceramic Ball
The ceramic ball valve Series E2 (wafer style) and E6 (trapped flanged/lugged style) are rotary control valves designed for the toughest erosive applications. The ball, bushings and linings are manufactured from Partially Stabilized Zirconia (PSZ).


Butterfly

Neldisc high-performance valves
The ZeroLeak Neldisc butterfly valve delivers repeatable zero leak sealing for long periods in emergency shutdown (ESD/ESV) applications and high-cycle applications such as those in batch processing. Its unique Neldisc floating seat geometry provides mechanically induced sealing, which is not dependent on differential pressure, and ensures excellent bi-directional tightness even at very low pressures.



Neldisc with S-Disc
The S-Disc design offers all of the standard features found in Neldisc high-performance butterfly valves, and adds a flow balancing trim located in the downstream side of the valve body. This transfers fluid forces away from the disc to reduce dynamic torque and handle higher pressure drop services.

The FINETROL high-performance rotary control valve is designed to provide wide rangeability and exceptional control accuracy. It achieves the optimal flow characteristics of a linear valve by relying on its patented plug shape, and delivers balanced operating torque over the full 90° of travel. As a result, Finetrol extends the applicability of rotary valves into areas traditionally reserved for linear valves. Standard units are equipped with a Quadra-Powr® II spring diaphragm actuator, which incorporates a Buna N rolling diaphragm reinforced with Dacron fabric.

The QUADRA-POWR® X
spring-diaphragm actuator is especially designed to provide safe, reliable operation by air, gas, water, oil or other media, even with minimum supply pressure. Its rolling diaphragm design provides accurate control and is adjustable from both open and closed positions. It also allows field-reversible operation without disassembly - fail open or fail close modes can be switched quickly in the field by simply inverting the actuator.


BC and BJ Series double-acting piston
B Series pneumatic cylinder actuators are designed for remote on/off control service. Double-acting (B1C) or spring return open/closed in case of air failure (B1J) are available. The actuators' unique articulated lever crank design provides a torque output signature, which is particularly suited to automating ball and butterfly valves.

The series offers rugged construction with few parts and small moving mass and rigid mounting to provide excellent resistance to vibration. Multiple pilot valve sizes are used to match positioner capacity with actuator stroke volume that significantly improves response times, particularly with large control valves.
